Position Overview
Blazer Jobs is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a supportive school district in Ruidoso, NM for the 20252026 school year. This full-time role offers an opportunity to provide meaningful services to K12 students, working in close collaboration with educators and licensed therapists to support student development and success.
Responsibilities

Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students individually or in small group settings

Assist with implementing treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT)

Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, and other team members
-
Record and maintain daily treatment notes, data, and progress reports in accordance with district and legal guidelines

Support students ability to participate in educational and daily living activities within the school environment
Qualifications

Active New Mexico COTA license (required)

Associates Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred

Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
